SOUTH BEND - Frank Sam Vittorie, 77, of Indianapolis, formerly of South Bend, died at 6:15 a.m. Monday in Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Indianapolis. Mr. Vittorie was a former assembler for Studebaker Corp. He was born July 1, 1918, in South Bend. He is survived by a sister, Rose Maio of Indianapolis; and a brother, Joe of South Bend. He was a veteran of World War II and received three Bronze Stars. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Welsheimer Funeral Home North, 17033 Cleveland Road. Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. South Bend Tribune 7/11/1995
