SOUTH BEND - Jennifer Jean (Gorog) Puzynski, 57, passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2014, at Memorial Hospital. Since 1993, Jennifer has been fighting for her life as she struggled with Lupus, Rheumatoid Arthritis and Heart Disease. Jennifer was born on December 12, 1956, in South Bend, to the late Joseph Alex and Wilma Lucille (Nussbaum) Gorog, and has remained a lifelong resident of this area. She was a 1974 graduate of LaSalle High School. Prior to her illness, Jennifer worked as a Nurse's Aide at area nursing homes. The joy and love of her life was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She also greatly enjoyed her cats. In 1982, at the Epworth Memorial United Methodist Church, South Bend, she was united in marriage to Joseph Puzynski of South Bend, who survives. She is also survived by her son, Joseph Puzynski of South Bend; her beloved granddaughter, Taylor Renee, and step-grandchildren, Alyissa and Trenton; sisters, Gloria Gorog of South Bend and Sherri Gorog of Minneapolis, MN; brother, Terry (Barb) Gorog of South Bend; niece, Lynn (Troy) Noel of Green Bay, WI; and great-nephew, Parker Noel. There will be a time of gathering to celebrate Jennifer's life this Saturday, May 3, 2014, from 4:00 PM till 6:00 PM at Palmer Funeral Home River Park, 2528 Mishawaka Ave., South Bend, IN 46615. A memorial gathering will also be held at a later date.
